Default Concept Skill: Sword of Storms (elite)

Sword of Storms (elite)
Energy 10
3/4 second casting time
15 second recharge time

Elite Spell. Target touch foe is struck for 1...5 damage for each attribute in fire magic, air magic, water magic, and earth magic. Damage is not inflicted if the attribute does not possess six or more attribute points. Energy Storage.

Here's the scoop, you touch the dude... Then he takes 5 dmg (at 12 energy storage) for each attribute point in each attribute.
So, say you go 12 fire magic, and 11 earth magic. You'll deal a net total of 60+55=115dmg. But, you'll deal two separate attacks, 60 fire damage, and 55 earth damage. Two separate attacks in one spell.
If you got 9 fire magic, 9 air magic, 9 earth magic, and 9 water magic, that's a net total of 4(45)=180dmg. So then you deal 45 fire, 45 lightning, 45 cold, and 45 earth damage. Keep in mind that these numbers can be reduced due to armor.
Just to make this not a cheesy skill, you can't slap in 3 attribute points and then get +15 damage. So you have to at least put in 6 attribute points in that element to deal damage.

Since there have been acceptable arguments on this skill. I make a non-elite version!

Sword of Storms

I reduced the maximum damage to 4 for each attribute which will be a big definer for elite, and non-elite. Also I updated the elite form to have a 15 second recharge time, and this to have 20.

..why need to specifically anti Ele??? Even though I dont see any bad side but..no good side either! Will be just another skills that can be used randomly!

Gameshoe, very interesting skill, I think there should be more skills like this that reward eles for spreading out, not just running 16 in their main att and 13 energy storage.

16/13 works in normal mode. Then again, just about anything works there.

Feel the pain running that setup in hard mode.

But above all, diversity is bad. Jack of all trades, master of none. There are few viable builds that would reward anyone for spreading out.

Also, by making this elite, you completely break energy management. Running single attribute is viable because of attunements. If you go multi-spec, you need to run 2 regular attunements. You cannot bring any other e-management, since they are all elite.

And last thing: Begin a touch skill, it's completely useless for eles.

yea dont make it elite cause if you dont make it elite [skill]master of magic[/skill] would be worth while with this

Okay, I shall make an non-elite form of this skill. Will update the first post.
Then for Bam, the name could work.
It's Sword of Storms
the one you pointed out is Storm of Swords.

not a bad idea, but i hate the name tbh, "elemental fury" or something a bit more "ele" sounding

Spreading attributes kinda goes around what eles would naturally do. Anet tries to make multi-line eles more viable each chapter, but they fail at it and it's not a good idea either. Forcing a character to go against what it would normally do in order to use one or a few powerful skills is mroe or less exactly what defines a gimmick.
Therefore, I don't like this skill. sorry.

As soon as this skill comes out, I'm starting a spike build with it.

Seriously. You can spike like hell with it. You said you could do 180, right? There's no skill that deals that much damage.

Ice prison+gale+5 guys using this skill=instant death

Could Shockwave do nearly the same?
51+51+51?
give or take some damage due to armor. That applies to this skill as well.

Starburst can actually hit a lot of foes, depending on how many are stacked. This can only hit one.
